The Anti-Corruption Bureau says National Initiative for Civic Education (Nice) has a great role of supporting the popularization of the Anti-corruption strategy to the people of Malawi.

Speaking during the orientation of Nice District Civic Education Officers on the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2 (Nacs 2) in Salima, Director of Public Education at ACB Charity Mphande observed that Nice has a country wide presence as such it is easier to popularize the Nacs 2 to the majority of Malawians.

“Malawians need to understand our strategy of fighting against corruption in the country but we cant reach out to Malawians alone hence a need of strengthening partnerships,” noted Mphande.

Mphande observed that the fight against corruption in the country needs a multi sectoral approach hence a need of work with organizations such as Nice.

However, National Programs Manager for Nice observed that Nice has various structures across the country which if well utilized can bring a positive perception of the role of ACB in fighting against corruption.

“Nice has always supported ACB in its work for many years and we are ready to enhance it using various approaches that Nice uses,” explained Kalindekafe.

During the orientation, the two organizations also reviewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in order to enhance their partnership in the area of public awareness on corrupt related issues.
